Who is
Sassy's Crew

In
1996, Sandy Sewell was diagnosed with breast cancer during a routine mammogram. 
The early detection led to a prompt mastectomy which probably saved her life. 
Six and a half years later, Sandy is enjoying her retired life in
Nevada.

 

Why
is this story important to us?  Sandy Sewell is the sister of Shea Craver, the
aunt of Kirsten Black and the friend of Shannon Parsons.  Together we make up "Sassy's
Crew"—a team of walkers participating in the

2003 San Francisco Avon Walk for Breast Cancer and the

Atlanta 2-Day Walk for Breast Cancer in honor of Sandy "Sassy" Sewell.

                         

   

 

Our
personal commitment is to walk a combined total of over 200 miles and raise over
$7,500 during these events to increase awareness, support, and funding for the
issue of breast cancer.
